Matthew's Graduation!

...So you've got your lattes.  You've got your mocha lattes...

And you've got your. . . (Drum roll please)

Magna Cum Laude!  (Latte)

(Yes, bad joke I know, but puns run in the family!)

Matthew graduates Magna Cum Laude!

I am so-o-o proud of my son, Matthew!  He graduated from Southwestern Assembly of God University (SAGU) on Friday night with great honor!  SAGU is located 30 miles south of Dallas in Waxahachie, Texas. It is the oldest Assembly of God University still in existence.  (The now defunct Bethany being the first.)

Matt received his B. A. degree in Communication.  He also received an A. A. degree in Bible.  I'm thinking that those degrees along with his previous 2 A. A. degrees should equal a Doctorate! . . . OK, at least a Masters!  Anyway you label it, it is a great accomplishment and his dad and I are proud!

As the family celebrated this landmark occasion, it especially meant a lot to me. When I was initially diagnosed with cancer, one of my first thoughts was wondering if I would be able to go to Matt's graduation or if I would be in the middle of some treatment. Fortunately, the timing was perfect! Congratulations, Matt!
