I thought I would get my biopsy results on Monday, but didn't. Then
I thought for sure on Tuesday...but didn't! Finally, Wednesday afternoon, my gynecologist called with my results. That was after I called her office to find out if they had received them. Doctors don't mind keeping you waiting! Well, the good news is, she didn't say it was cancer! But she couldn't rule out cancer either. She said they found some abnormal cells, but basically the results were inconclusive. I thought that was the whole point of having a biopsy!--to find out if you have cancer or not!
So now I need to see a general surgeon. I need more in depth testing. My appointment for a consult is a week from today. There's nothing I can do, but wait. I'm going to try and put this out of my mind until after Christmas.
In the mean time -- I finally dragged myself out of the house yesterday and did some shopping. Fortunately, my kids have been great and haven't asked for much. I'm also helping at my church's outdoor Christmas light show (Christmas on Destiny Drive), 2 of the 4 nights it is presented. My extended family Christmas celebration is tomorrow in Santa Cruz. And then there is regular ol' Christmas on Tuesday! Life goes on!
